My main research field is probability theory. In recent years, I have mainly studied several problems related to the hydrodynamic limit for interacting particle systems. The terminology "Hydrodynamic limit" means problems or rigorously mathematical (and probabilistic) approach to derive a master equation which governs a macroscopic object such as fluids or gasses by taking a certain type of scaling limits for the density of interacting particle systems. Hydrodynamic limit is intensively studied not only by mathematicians but also physicists in the past decades, and is closely related to the study on stationary nonequilibrium states in thermodynamic theory. For instance, the analysis via the hydrodynamic limit plays an central role in the study of "Macroscopic fluctuation theory", developed by Bertini et al. Mathematical analysis of Macroscopic fluctuation theory is one of main themes of my study.
As a different theme, I am also interested in a probabilistic aspect of Topological data analysis.
